Gift of Life

Gift of Life works to increase awareness and match participants in the national bone marrow registry to those with blood cancer. Strongpoint Wealth Advisors lost Susan Church, a dedicated employee (and Peter’s mother), to a rare Leukemia in 2016. She was fortunate enough to easily find a match for a transplant during her treatment, but many aren’t as lucky. Strongpoint is active in raising money in Susan’s name to broaden the lifesaving bone marrow registry.

Strongpoint Wealth Advisors sponsors the Laquan Majette Memorial Grant at Peter and Matt’s high school Alma Mater. Laquan was a personal friend and teammate of Peter’s that lost his life in his early 20’s. Two students with financial needs, demonstrating academic and community excellence are granted funds over the course of the year to cover ancillary costs, ranging from field trips to athletic equipment.

Alex's Lemonade Stand

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) was founded based on Alex, a four-year-old girl suffering with childhood cancer, who believed that she could help other children survive by selling one cup at a time at her lemonade stand. In August of 2004, Alex passed away at the age of eight, knowing that, with the help of others, she had raised more than $1 million to help find a cure for the disease that took her life.

Alex’s family — including brothers Patrick, Eddie and Joey — and supporters around the world are committed to continuing her inspiring legacy through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Today Alex's dedication has lived on and expanded funding research nationally to find a cure for childhood cancer. The organization continues to change the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.
